The mean PSE values are shown for each experiment condition (different panels) and adaptor condition separately. The left panel shows the hitting context condition and the right panel shows the waving context condition. Larger PSE values indicate that the test stimulus showed more of a hitting action. Adaptation effects are assessed in a similar vein here and in all subsequent figures. Significant PSE differences between adaptor conditions of the same experiment condition are indicative of an adaptation effect. Bars indicate one standard error of the mean.
