In onset of breeding graph a), thick horizontal segments represent median, the bottom and the upper edges of the boxes show first and third quartiles, whiskers demonstrate minimum and maximum values. In clutch size graph b), the slopes represent predicted values derived from model-averaged estimates based on models within ΔAICc<2. Infected and uninfected females do not differ in their onset of breeding or in their seasonal decline in clutch size.
