Isolated rat islets were incubated for 60 min with ethanol extract of Centella asiatica (10, 20, and 30 mg/ml) in the presence of 3 or 11 mM glucose. Data are presented as median (range), n=5. Mann–Whitney U-test was used to evaluate statistical significance. *p < 0.05 compared with control (3 mM glucose without extract).
