Depicted are mean response times over the 30 trials of each block, separately for each of the 10 blocks in the second session for the seven responses R1 to R7 within a trial. Participant EN29 (lower panel) had faster response times for R6 and R7 than for R3 and R4 from Block 3 onwards and therefore was classified as implicit learner, in contrast to Participant LNLN14 whose data are depicted in the upper panel. The dotted arcs connect responses that are identical according to the covert rule (R4 & R5, R3 & R6, R2 & R7).
