Design of HIV-1 viral load microchips. The microchip is composed of a PMMA base, double-sided acrylic adhesive and a glass slide. When assembled, three channels are formed in the microchip with a dimension of 40mm ×24 mm × 50 µm. One inlet and one outlet are located at both ends of the channel. (a) Components of the microchip.
