TEM images were acquired from a preparation of pure phage particles negatively stained with 2% uranyl acetate on carbon-coated copper grids (Quantifoil, Jena, Germany) and observed using a Philips CM12 microscope at 120 kV acceleration voltage with a Gatan Orius digital camera.
