The input neurons are either unconnected (I0,1; orange node), monosynaptically connected (I1,1; magenta node), or disynaptically connected (I2,1; blue node) to the output neuron (O; cyan). Every experiment has at least one disynaptic pathway with a hidden neuron (H1,1; green node). Additional identically connected Hidden neurons are only present in some experiments (H1,2,…N; gray nodes). Synaptic connections are all unidirectional.
