The Euclidian distance among 48 yeast strains according to the presence of the three allelic forms on chromosome XVI (nt-XVI, VIII-t-XVI, and XV-t-XVI) was calculated using the R program. The origin of each yeast strain used is coded by a color point. Light blue = grape isolates, dark blue = wine starters, black = natural isolate, red = distillery, brown = brewery, orange = bakery.
