Estimated LOS/TBSA was calculated by the following formula derived from multiple linear regression analysis to determine the relationship between donor site wound fractional synthesis rate (FSR) and postsurgery day when the metabolic study was conducted and actual LOS/TBSA: Estimated LOS/TBSA = (FSR - 12.95 - 1.141 × Postsurgery day) / (−17.8). The linear regression analysis demonstrated a significant correlation (p < 0.001) between the parameters. One result was excluded from analysis (■) due to analytical problems.
