Somules were incubated with dsRNA to HMGR (±500 µM mevalonate) or mCherry for 25 days. Caspase activity was then measured using the fluorescent substrate Z-DEVD-R110 as described in the text. Data are expressed as the fold increase in caspase activity relative to somules exposed to mCherry dsRNA. Bars represent means ± S.D. across two independent experiments.
