After serum starvation for 72 hours, VSMCs were exposed to 10% serum for another 48 hours in presence or absence of sodium ferulate at a dose of 200 µmol/L. The nuclear Notch-1 protein (A), the mRNA levels of Jagged-1, Hey-1 and Hey-2 (B) were measured using Western blot and real-time PCR, respectively.
