New Zealand white rabbits (Hypharm/Groupe Grimaud, France, n = 4) were treated with 3.5mg of plasmid pVax-FcBoNT with electroporation, or intramuscularly with 400µg of the corresponding recombinant FcBoNT homogenized in 0,5ml of Freund’s complete adjuvant (first treatment) or Freud's incomplete adjuvant (2nd and 3rd treatments). Antibody titers were determined by ELISA of serum samples at day 75 after treatment and represented as histograms. Prot A, prot B and prot E means immunization with the recombinant protein respectively corresponding to FcBoNT/A FcBoNT/B and FcBoNT/E antigens. DNA means a DNA electroporation treatment with the corresponding plasmid. Results show mean ± SEM values. The neutralizing titers were also determined at day 75 and are indicated in bold above the corresponding histogram..
