TLR2 expression was markedly increased in macrophages and microglia. There is marked up-regulation in TLR2 in the hindbrains at both 3 and 5 weeks of age, whereas TLR2 expression is relatively stable in age-matched control hindbrains. TLR2 expression is most up-regulated in the microglial/macrophage population, but occasional oligodendrocytes also express TLR2.
