(B) Western blot analysis to identify biotinylated proteasome subunits. The assignment of the 19S RP subunits (lane 4) was referred to early publications[24,25]. (C) SYPRO Ruby staining to show the proteins isolated over streptavidin beads. The bands aligned with 19S RP subunits were cut out from the gel and subjected to LC–MS/MS. The bands marked with asterisks were not aligned with any 19S RP subunits and were not characterized further.
