(A) J774 macrophages were prestimulated with LPS for 2 h and then exposed to live, heat-killed, or UV-inactivated C. albicans at an MOI of 2:1 for 5 h. LDH (blue) and IL-1β (red) were measured from the supernatant of the coculture as described for Fig. 1. (B) LPS-stimulated J774 macrophages were exposed to the indicated Candida species at an MOI of 2:1 or 20:1 for 5 h and analyzed for LDH release as described for Fig. 1.
