Effects of S. salivarius on HT-29/kB-luc-E cells. HT-29 reporter cells were incubated with live or heat-killed cells of S. salivarius strains JIM8772, JIM8224, JIM8775, and CIP102503T in the presence or absence of TNF-α (10 ng/ml). “Control” corresponds to the luciferase activity of HT-29/kb-luc-E reporter cells in the presence of TNF-α and RPMI. The results are represented as means and standard deviations of triplicate measurements from one representative out of 3 independent experiments.
