miR-183 and miR-96 directly repress the 3′ UTRs of SLUG and ZEB1 mRNAs. Luciferase assays were performed with HeLa cells 48 h after cotransfection of the cells with psiCHECK2 (V) or psiCHECK2 containing the wild-type (WT) or mutant (MUT) 3′ UTR of ZEB1 or SLUG mRNAs and CTL, miR-183, miR-96, or miR-182 mimics.
