Figure 10

Platycodin D improved the histopathological changes of the secondary lymphatic organs. (a) The total spleen and white pulp thicknesses of platycodin D-treated mice were significantly decreased compared with the CIA control mice. Measurements of total spleen (arrow) and white pulp (dotted arrow) thicknesses are shown in Figure 8. (b) The splenic white pulp of platycodin D-treated mice was significantly lower compared with CIA control mice. (c) The popliteal lymph node total and cortex thickness of platycodin D-treated mice were significantly lower compared with the CIA control mice. Measurement of lymph node total (arrow) and cortex (dotted arrow) thicknesses are shown in Figure 9. Values are expressed as means ± SD (n = 8); a P < 0.01 and b P < 0.05 as compared with intact control by LSD test; c P < 0.01 as compared with CIA control by LSD test; d P < 0.01 as compared with intact control by MW test; e P < 0.01 as compared with CIA control by MW test.
