Figure 4.

Interference to netrin-1 and its receptors interaction sensitizes tumour cells to cytotoxic drugs.

  • A,B. A549R cells were treated for 48 h with the indicated Doxorubicin concentrations in presence or not of 2 µg/ml TRAP-netrinDCC (A) and TRAP-netrinUnc5A (B). The co-treatment with Doxorubicin and the two recombinant fusion proteins increased cell death rate, measured by toxilight, as compared to Doxorubicin- and PBS-treated cells. Results were normalized to untreated cells.

  • C,D A549R cells were treated with PBS or 2 µg/ml TRAP-netrinUnc5A, in presence of the indicated concentrations of 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU, C) or Cisplatin (D). 48 h after co-treatment, cell survival was measured by MTS and normalized to untreated cells.

  • E,F. MiaPacA cells were treated with PBS or 2 µg/ml TRAP-netrinUnc5A, in presence of the indicated concentrations of 5-FU (E) or Doxorubicin (F). 48 h after co-treatment, cell survival was measured by MTS and normalized to untreated cells.
