Phylogenies of 1,4-dihydroxy-2-naphthoyl-CoA synthase (MenB) based on ML (A) and Bayesian (B) methods respectively. These phylogenies were calculated from an unambiguous amino acid alignment of 107 sequences and 192 sites. Thirty-three sequences of enoyl-CoA hydratase, representing six phyla, were used as the outgroup. Additional details are described in the legend to figure 4.
