Analysis of K-ras codon 12 mutations using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) in unresectable advanced colorectal carcinomas. PCR products were digested with the restriction enzyme MvaI. The wild-type and mutant fragments were detected at positions corresponding to 114 and 143 bp. Lanes 1 and 2 show a mutant band; lane 3, negative control; lane 4, positive control and M, HaeIII DNA marker.
