Percentage of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells to peripheral blood (PB) lymphocytes in NPC and control samples. The percentage of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells was analyzed by flow cytometry. The percentage of CD4+ T cells in NPC (A) was 33.0%, whereas in the control group (B) it was 42.4%. The percentage of CD8+ T cells in NPC (C) was 25.2% and in the control group (D) it was 22.4%. A representative experiment is shown. (E) The percentages of CD4+ T cells, CD8+ T cells and the expression of IL-10 were assessed with independent-samples t-test in the NPC and control groups. *P<0.05 was considered to indicate a statistically significant difference.
