The concentration profiles for wild type MEF and 4T1 cells were similar, but the production of PGE2 was significantly reduced in C3 knockout (KO) MEF cells. For C7 KO MEF cells, [PGE2] was low without radiation treatment. After 24 hours post radiation, [PGE2] started to increase, and quickly approached to the level in irradiated, wild type MEF cells.
