Type II cGMP-dependent protein kinase (PKG II) inhibited platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)-BB-induced Tyr 751 phosphorylation of PDGF receptor (PDGFR) β. AGS cells were treated as described in Fig. 1, except that VEGF-C was replaced with PDGF-BB (100 ng/ml). Western blot analysis was applied to detect the Tyr 751 phosphorylation of PDGFRβ. PDGF-BB treatment induced a marked increase of phosphorylation of PDGFRβ (Ad-LacZ + PDGF-BB group). Infection with Ad-PKG II and cGMP treatment effectively inhibited the PEGF-BB-induced phosphorylation of PDGFRβ (Ad-PKG II + cGMP + PDGF-BB groups). The results shown are representative of three separate experiments.
