Time course of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity in bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). BMSCs in six-well plates (1×105 cells/cm2) were cultured with DMEM supplemented with 10% FBS (control group) or DMEM with 10% FBS, β-glycerophosphate, dexamethasone and ascorbic acid. ALP activity of BMSCs was induced after 10 days of culture indicating osteoblastic differentiation. The values are the mean ± standard deviation. There were significant differences of *P<0.05 and **P<0.01. OSI, osteogenic induction group; CON, non-osteogenic induction group.
