Caki-2 cells were assayed for (A) nuclear chromatin condensation and (B) caspase-3 activity following treatment for 24 h with 15d-PGJ2 alone (20 μM), VP-16 alone (70 μM) and the combination of the two. Treatment with 15d-PGJ2 enhanced the VP-16-induced Caki-2 cell apoptosis via the activation of caspase-3.
