EpoR expression levels in a mouse model of doxorubicin-induced cardiomyopathy following depletion and recovery of Gata4. Cardiomyopathy was induced in 10-week-old male C57BL/6J mice by a single intraperitoneal injection of 15 mg/kg doxorubicin hydrochloride. In sham-treated mice, the equivalent volume of saline was injected. (A) Q-PCR analysis of EpoR expression, normalized to β-actin. All samples were measured in duplicates (**P < 0.01). (B) Analysis of α-Mhc expression as Gata4 downstream target served as bona fide control for the specificity of the effect. Photographies of agarose gels were inverted.
