Rescue of the Fer siRNA phenotype by co-injection with active recombinant FER kinase. GV stage oocytes were injected either with Fer siRNA (0.1 μM) alone or coinjected with siRNA and active recombinant FER protein (0.133 or 0.200 μg/ml). Oocytes were held arrested at the GV stage for 12h then washed and allow to mature for 18h. The percentage of each group (N) of oocytes that successfully completed GVBD (A) or proceeded to MII (B) is indicated in the Y axis. Error bars indicate standard deviation of the mean. N=number of replicates; n=total number of oocytes per treatment. Data were analyzed by ANOVA with SIDAK post-hoc comparisons.
