Total cellular PAR in XRCC1 variant cells following treatment with cold MMS. Cell lines were exposed to 10 mM MMS for 20 min at 4°C, then incubated in drug-free medium for up to 30 min in a 37°C incubator before PAR analysis as described in Section 2. Experiments were repeated at least 3 times and error bars reflect SEM.
