Table 1. Rat lung tissue adenine nucleotide content (μmol·gram−1 dry lung) after 15 min of perfusion with the experimental treatments in Protocol 1 studies.

The values are means ± SE. Statistical analysis was carried out using ANOVA, with multiple comparisons made using the Waller-Duncan k-ratio t-test. Means with the same letter designations are in the same group and not significantly different (p>0.05). Means with two letters are not different from either group. Means with different letter designations are in different groups and are significantly different from each other (p<0.05).
