Comparison of binding of E18 (A) and E19 (B) to heat-inactivated EV71 (i.e., A particles) and native EV71. The purified EV71 was stored on ice or incubated at 56 °C for 30 min. Serial dilutions of the samples were added to wells coated with polyclonal antibodies against VP1, and bound viral particles were detected by the addition of E18 or E19 (Materials and Methods).
