Transepithelial transport of chloroquine is several folds lower in P-MDCK cells than MDCK cells. Transport of chloroquine and salicylic acid was assessed using P-MDCK and MDCK cell monolayers grown on transwell filter for 6 days in the presence of 2 mM L-tyrosine.
