Effects of (A) hydroalcoholic extract of shallot, (B) EA fraction or (C) quercetin (as standard flavonoid) on DTH responses. The mice were sensitized to SRBC and then subjected to five daily host treatments with the test agents. Within 48 hr after the final treatment, each mouse was challenged in one footpad with SRBC (the other received saline). Pad thickness was measured 24 and 48 hr later and compared to that in the host- matched saline- injected footpad. The data shown are the means (± SEM) of three independent experiments.
