L6 cells expressing both isoform B of the hINSR and GLUT-4 were preincubated with 333 nM of either XMetD or control IgG for 60 min at 37 °C followed by a 10 min incubation with increasing concentrations of insulin. [³H]-2-deoxy-D-glucose (2DG) was added and uptake was measured after 20 min. Mean ± SD of triplicate determinations are shown.
