Displacement of 2 nm siRNAs from 200 nm inactive C3PO and translin. FAM-siRNA(GAPDH) (left panel) and FAM-siRNA(Hsp90) (right panel) were displaced from inactive C3PO (A) or translin (B) by excess unlabeled ssDNA as followed by the decrease in fluorescence anisotropy of the labeled siRNA where the initial point is [ssDNA] = 0 nm. Repeating the studies in the presence of 2.5-fold excess PLCβ1 (500 nm) had little effect on the dissociation curves where n = 6–9 and S.E. is shown. The EC₅₀ refers to the concentration of ssDNA that must be added to displace 50% of siRNA.
