GDM was defined as observed in at least one index pregnancy. Insulin/diet refers to treatment of the last index pregnancy with GDM, while NGT (normal glucose tolerance), IGT/IFG (impaired glucose tolerance/fasting glucose) and diabetes mellitus (DM, type 1 or type 2) refers to diagnosis at study visit postpartum. An asterisk denotes missing values in the next-lower level.
