Isomerization/chlorination of sec-allylic alcohols. Reactions were performed on a 1 mmol scale. trans-2 f, 2 g, and 2 h were used. Yields of isolated products are shown (yields given in parentheses were determined by ¹H NMR spectroscopy with respect to 1,2,4,5-tetrachloro-3-nitrobenzene as internal standard).
