p < 0.05 compared to WT 2A, unpaired t-test.

#

p < 0.05 compared to 2A/2A; one way ANOVA, Tukey post hoc.

The data of glutamate and glycine deactivation time course tau were from prolonged application (1–1.5 sec). There were no significant effects of the mutation on the response rise time (9.5 ms for WT 2A; 9.3 ms for 2A-L812M; 8.0 ms for 2A/2A; 10 ms for L812M/2A; 11 ms L812M/L812M) and amplitude (62 pA for WT 2A; 88 pA for 2A-L812M; 22 pA for 2A/2A; 22 pA for L812M/2A; 23 pA for L812M/L812M) when glycine was applied with background glutamate.
