ASA, American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status classification system; CIS, Cooperation on Induction Scale¹ where 1=excellent (unafraid, cooperative, and accepts mask readily), 2=good (slight fear of mask but easily calmed), 3=moderate fear, not calmed with reassurance), 4=poor (terrified, crying, and agitated).
