ADMA was significantly lower in naïve compared to Pseudomonas infected lungs (*: p = 0.0001, Kruskal-Wallis test). The L-arginine/ADMA ratio, which can be used as an index of NOS impairment, was significantly reduced in infected lungs (*: p<0.0001, ANOVA). Treatment with ABH did not change ADMA concentrations but resulted in normalization of the L-arginine/ADMA ratio. (p<0.001, t-test).
