Jasplakinolide-induced apoptosis in Srf(−/−) ES cells is rescued by overexpression of Bcl-2. 100 Srf(−/−) ES cells were transiently transfected with empty vector (A, B) or with an expression vector encoding HA-tagged Bcl-2 (C, D). At 48 h after transfection, cells were treated for 24 h either with solvent control (A, C) or 10 nM jasplakinolide (B, D). HA-Bcl-2-expressing cells (red) were identified by immunocytochemistry using an antibody against hemagglutinin (C, D). Apoptotic cells (green) were simultaneously visualized by TUNEL staining.
