Nickel induces HIF-1α stabilization and miR-210 expression. (a and b) The HIF-1α and HIF-1β protein levels were detected by western blot after different NiCl2 treatments. The nickel-induced HIF-1α stabilizations are indicated by quantification of western blot band intensity and typical images. (c and d) The miR-210 expression after different NiCl2 treatments was analyzed by qRT-PCR. The nickel-induced upregulation of miR-210 is both dose and time dependent. (e) The well-established agents that stabilized cellular HIF-1α, DFX and CoCl2, also increased miR-210 expression after 4 h of treatment.
