Compounds C and F protect neurons membrane integrity in oxidative stress conditions. Cell membrane integrity was studied by LDH assay, and cellular viability was increased in neurons treated with C and F compounds. Cortical neurons were co-incubated with 200 µM H2O2 and compounds at 1 and 0.1 µM. Compounds C and F, represented in the graph, were the only ones that were able to avoid LDH release. All values are shown in percentage in respect to the non-treated control (Ctl) and compared to cells treated with 200 µM H2O2 by ANOVA statistical analysis followed by post hoc Dunnett’s t test. * (p < 0.05), ** (p < 0.01) and *** (p < 0.001).
