Targeted RNAi knockdown of na or CG33988 expression disrupts diurnal control of locomotor behavior. UAS-responsive RNAi against na or CG33988 were pan-neurally driven using the elav-Gal4 driver. Control flies carry the elav-Gal4 driver in the w1118 background used for the UAS-RNAi lines, but lacked the UAS-RNAi transgene. The locomotor activity of each genotype was monitored for a 7-day period and daily averages plotted in 30-minute bins. White bar at the X-axis indicates day period, black bar indicates night period. Asterisks indicate statistically significant difference between the induced-RNAi groups and the control groups for the individual 30-min bins (*P < 0.05, repeated measures Two-Way ANOVA).
