Collagen fibrils (f) in thick choroids were present in bundles that were loosely packed, with considerable intervening ground substance and fibrocyte processes (fp). Thin choroids showed much higher density of fibrillar collagen, without appreciable ground substance (electron-lucent material in [A] and [B]).
