Time based cidal activity of BURK24 and BURK37 on 5×105 CFU/ml of B. pseudomallei NCTC 10274 was derived using their respective bactericidal concentrations as determined by antibody susceptibility test and bacteriostatic kinetics according to CLSI guidelines. Both the mAbs exhibited killing activity i.e., 3 log10 CFU/ml reduction in bacterial count after 4 h of the study and the killing effect persisted throughout the 24 h experimental duration. The log10 CFU/ml data presented is representative average of time-kill study performed in triplicates. The error bar denotes the standard error. The killing effect of BURK24 and BURK37 was found to be reproducible and statistically significant (p<0.05).
