CB3 increases AMPK activation and inhibits p70S6 kinase in the brains of ZDF rats. ZDF rat brain samples were separated by SDS-PAGE as described. The blots of each group, were incubated with antibodies against (A) AMPK, and pAMPK and (B) p70S6K, and phospho p70S6K. Each band represents a single animal in each group. The data was quantified (right) represent averages (±SEM) of three independent experiments. The values were normalized to the ZDF rats treated with saline only (Zucker).
