At 96h after HI, nec-1 treated mice have less percent injury than vehicle treated mice in hippocampus (A) of both, male and female mice, and in thalamus (B) of only male mice. Thalamic injury was significantly greater in male than female mice by 96h after HI. Details for methods and results for cortex are reported elsewhere (Northington et al., 2011).
