Time course of 2 mg ml−1 x4-2-6 (filled diamonds) and x4-2-9 (open diamonds) peptide degradation in PBS, pH 7.1 by proteinase K. The reaction was stopped after defined time intervals by the addition of 5 mM PMSF (proteinase K inhibitor) after incubation. All experiments were carried out at 37 °C and repeated three times for statistical analysis.
