Cholesterol loading preserves ABCA1 and ABCG1 protein in human macrophages. THP-1 macrophages were treated for 24 h with T-0901317 (1 μm) and then incubated for 8 h in medium containing cycloheximide (10 μg/ml) with or without cholesterol/CD (20 μg cholesterol/ml).
